An official of the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi on Sunday (January 13) got involved in an altercation with an Indian woman at a market place in the city.
The woman then took the diplomat to the nearby police station and lodged a complaint against him. No formal arrest, however, was made since he was a diplomat.

On the other hand, Pakistan government sources, while claiming the man was arrested, protested this "alleged violation" of the Vienna convention on diplomatic relations and added that it reserved the right to respond.
