Twitter has the best memes for ICC World Cup final 2019
Last night's final ICC World Cup match between England and New Zealand is why cricket has such a huge fan following across the world. First time in the history of sports something like this was observed.
The match that took place on July 14, 2019, at the Lords's stadium first saw New Zealand batting as they gave England a target of 241 runs. England was able to reach the exact same score resulting in a tie.
To break the tie, the match went into a super over to decide the champions of the ICC World Cup 2019. However, both the teams managed to make 15 runs each, again. Finally, England was crowned as the champions because they had more boundaries during the match.
Though ICC was able to come to a conclusion and decide the champions because of the tie-breaking rule, but such an end to such a nerve-wracking match did not go down well with the fans of the game.
Twitter went into a frenzy and let the memes flow after the results were declared. That is not it, Twitter even made memes as to how the other teams are looking like while they were watching this hair- raising match.
