The Redmi Note 8 Pro is launching in India tomorrow - October 16. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is already selling in China. We expect the same Chinese model of the Redmi Note 8 Pro to hit the Indian market. In other words, the Redmi Note 8 Pro Indian model will sport a big display, powerful processor, impressive cameras, and bigger battery when compared to the predecessor Redmi Note 7 Pro. The price in India of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is also said to be at par with the China price.
Overall the Redmi Note 8 Pro is an upgraded version of the Redmi Note 7 Pro that launched in India earlier this year. The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a big screen, MediaTek processor, four cameras on the back panel, front camera that sits inside the Dot drop notch, big battery and more. As noted, the specs of the Redmi Note 8 Pro are already known (China specs) but the price of the smartphone is unknown. Renault today launched Kwid facelift in India for a starting price of Rs 2.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). More than three lakh units of Renault Kwid have been sold in the Indian market since the vehicle was launched here in 2015. Renault Kwid facelift, which comes in a more peppy and sporty avatar, will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Alto, Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, Datsun Redi-GO and the newly-launched Maruti Suzuki S-Presso. The launch of Kwid facelift follows the introduction of Renault Triber in August and Renault Duster facelift in July.

The new Renault Kwid facelift is available with two SCe (smart control efficiency) petrol engines -- 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre. The 0.8-litre motor makes 54 PS and 72 Nm of torque, while the 1.0-litre mill produces 68 PS and 91 Nm of torque. Both the powertrains come with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox. The 1.0-litre variant gets an optional 5-speed AMT called Easy-R by Renault.

Renault Kwid facelift boasts of an impressive front fascia with a new-designed chrome grille. Earlier this year, Google and Amazon ended their long-running feud by jointly announcing that YouTube will be coming to Amazon's Fire TV devices while Google's Chromecast will get Amazon Prime Video. It has taken several months for this to happen, but it is now official. Starting Tuesday, Fire TV owners will be able to download the official YouTube app, while Chromecast owners will be able to cast the Prime Video app via their iOS or Android devices.
The official YouTube app can now be found in the "Your Apps" section in Fire TV. Amazon says that the YouTube app will be available worldwide on Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick Basic Edition, and all Fire TV Edition smart TVs. The company added in its statement that it will expand to additional Fire TV devices in the coming months with YouTube TV and YouTube Kids launching later this year.
The YouTube app is available in India as we were able to download it on our Fire TV device. This is a full-fledged YouTube app that also works with Alexa voice control and is capable of playing compatible in 4K HDR at 60 fps on supported TVs and streaming media players. Up until now, the only way Fire TV owners could access YouTube was through the web browser.
Meanwhile, the Amazon Prime Video app for iOS and Android will now support Chromecast. Users will be able to cast the app and stream videos on TVs with a Chromecast device either hooked up or built-in. There are new processors and chipsets for mobile phones out from Qualcomm. On Tuesday, the chipset maker announced new chipsets called Snapdragon 730, Snapdragon 730G and Snapdragon 665 that are likely to feature in phones like the Redmi Note 8 and other devices that could be launched in the second half of this year.
Qualcomm says that with the Snapdragon 730 and 730G it is aiming to deliver powerful gaming and enhanced AI experience to the users. While with the Snapdragon 665 Qualcomm wants to offer premium level camera, gaming, and AI experience to the mid-range smartphones. We will see likely see all Snapdragon 730, Snapdragon 730G and Snapdragon 665 powered smartphones launches this year.

Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G: What they offer

-- Both Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 730G chipsets are built on 8nm process and they feature two high-performance cores and six power-efficient cores.
--The Snapdragon 730 includes Hexagon 688 DSP, Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU, and Qualcomm Kryo 470 CPU, which work together to offer much faster performance when compared to the previous generation processors in the same range.
--The Qualcomm Kryo 470 CPU is built on the latest ARM Cortex Technology. It provides 35 per cent more performance compared to its predecessor Snapdragon 710, says Qualcomm.
