Smriti Irani is a social media queen and there is no denying that. From her impeccable timing with memes to her adorable pictures with her family, the BJP minister's Instagram page is the most relatable thing on the internet.
Last evening when India lost to New Zealand and its place from the finals in ICC World Cup 2019, Indians were left with shattered dreams.
But during the initial overs of the match we all still had hopes from Dhoni, even when Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma were bowled out of the game with just one run.
And seems like the Minister for Women and Child Development also had the same emotions for India's former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Taking to her Instagram, Smriti posted a status for Captain Cool in which she talked about the cricketer's greatest achievement in the sport.
The image she posted said, "You know what MS Dhoni's greatest achievement is? That at 5 for 3, 1.25 billion people still believed."
And we can't help but agree with the sentiment. Dhoni really was the hope we had after that.
Recently, Smriti had even wished Dhoni on his 38th birthday last week with a heartwarming post which said, "Dhoni, naam hi kaafi hai."
Clearly the politician is a big fan of the cricketer.
The 43-year-old politician, who recently became the Minister for Women and Child Development, is also the textile minister.
The minister, who is also touted as the Giant Killer, won the Amethi parliamentary seat with a margin of 55,120 votes against Rahul Gandhi. Irani polled a total of 4,67,598 votes.
